FAQ - “Why is it taking my AC unit forever to cool off my house?”

Subtitle: A lot of the times when a homeowner experiences long run times for a system to drop the indoor temperature, is because they turn the thermostat on too late. If you're expecting temperatures to be increased, my recommendation would be to turn it on the day or night before those temperatures actually increase inside your home, and don't wait until you get home in the afternoon when the heat and humidity is already built up inside the house, for that system to work twice as hard to remove that heat and humidity. So if you do experience, where your system is running for long periods of time, or just not cooling as fast as you'd like, potentially try turning your system on the night or the morning of that warm day, or that potential warm day, to start to reduce that temperature and humidity in the house before it starts to accumulate.
